Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses following a shooting.
Police were called at 7:37am on Wednesday (14 October) to reports of a shooting on White Hart Lane in Romford.
Officers attended and found a man, aged in his mid-30s, with a gunshot injury to his leg.
He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Trident detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
They would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.
At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Enquiries to establish a motive for the shooting continue.
