Passenger spat at bus driver

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Roads and Transport Command have released the image of a man they want to speak to after a bus driver was spat at while working.

At approximately 00.30am on Saturday, 21 March, three men and a woman boarded a 68 bus travelling towards Camberwell on Walworth Road without payment.

Upon asking the group to pay, they refused and began to argue with the bus driver.

During this encounter, one of the men approached the driver at spat at him through the holes in the driver’s divide.

The group then exited the bus.

Officers are asking that anyone who recognises the suspect to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quoting CRIS 3009008/20.

Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
