Kind-hearted police officers help elderly residents keep clear of coronavirus

Kind-hearted police officers in Coventry have come to the aid of elderly residents by ensuring they are stocked up with food and essentials.

Officers from the St Michael’s neighbourhood team held their own collection to buy much needed items – and even chocolate treats for Easter.

We’ve also received donations from generous shopkeepers as the community has joined forces to assist the vulnerable during these difficult times.

The officers safely distributed the packages to a number of people at independent retirement properties in Hillfields, meaning they didn’t need to head out and increase the risk of Covid-19 exposure.
