West Midlands Police are appealing for information following a robbery on Highfield Road in the Hall Green area of Birmingham at 6pm on Saturday (15 February).
Three masked men, believed to be Romanian and armed with screwdrivers, forced their way into a house and pulled a pregnant woman off a bed, before kicking her in the stomach and legs.
Another woman tried to intervene and the robbers fled the property with a large quantity of jewellery.
Detective Sergeant Tom Lyons said: “This was a nasty assault on two woman, who were at home with their children.
“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but the outcome could have been a lot worse.
“This attack happened in the early evening, so we are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in the area at the time to contact us, or if you saw any suspicious behaviour on the road at the time.
“We are also appealing to anyone who sees this jewellery being sold, or if you notice jewellery appearing at your home that was not there before.”
