Hit-and-run victim suffered fractured skull

Officers from West Midlands Police investigating a hit-and-run in Coventry on Friday 15 November, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police were called to Humber Avenue just before 8.30pm that night, where the driver of what’s believed to be a silver Ford Focus car appeared to lose control and span 360 degrees on the road, before hitting a pedestrian.

The 21-year-old was left on the pavement with a fractured skull, while the driver continued driving towards London Road. Fortunately, the man has since recovered, but the long term effects of his injury are unknown.

PC Antony Coy said: “I am asking anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet come forward, to speak to us.

“Perhaps someone in the area has noticed a damaged silver car that seems out of place or even heard someone discussing what happened that night. We’d be keen to hear from anyone with information.

“If you have dash-cam footage of a suspicious car in the Humber Avenue area immediately after the hit-and-run, we’d be keen to get a copy of that.”

Enquiries continue and anyone with information can contact us via LiveChat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime.

Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please quote log 2412 of 15 November.
