Police are appealing for information after a woman died following a collision in Cotteridge, Birmingham yesterday evening (23 October).
Officers were called to Pershore Road, near Kwik Fit shortly before 7pm to reports a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by an HGV lorry.
The 79-year-old woman was taken to hospital, but she died a few hours later.
The driver of the HGV stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“The woman’s family are being supported by specialist officers and are thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
