Man assaulted at bus stop

Detectives investigating an assault in Uxbridge are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police were called at around 1:20pm on Thursday, 1 August to reports of a man assaulted at a bus stop on Vine Street.

Officers attended and spoke to the victim, aged in his late 20s, who said he had been attacked by another man.

The suspect is said to have deliberately barged into the victim, leading to a verbal altercation between the two.

He told the suspect to go away and was about to board a bus when he was repeatedly punched and fell to the ground, suffering facial injuries.

Officers are now releasing an image of a man they are keen to speak to in connection with the incident.

He is believed to be in his mid-20s and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a blue t-shirt at the time.

It was reported that at least one member of the public recorded the assault on a mobile phone and police are asking anyone who believes they may have captured this incident to come forward.
