Merseyside Police have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to following a robbery at a shop in Kensington.
At around 1.15pm on Saturday 27th April a man entered the Best One shop on Farnworth Street. He approached the shop counter holding a knife and threw a bag at an assistant telling them to fill it with cigarettes and then demanded cash from the till.
The man then made off on a pedal cycle.
Nobody was injured following the incident but the shop assistant was left shaken by the ordeal.
Enquiries have been ongoing and officers have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with enquiries.
Detective Inspector Jennie Beck said: “I would ask anyone who recognises this man or knows where he is to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area of Farnworth Street that day or witnessed anyone or acting suspicious around 1pm to get in touch as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
