Police officer is dismissed

A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been dismissed without notice following the conclusion of a misconduct hearing.

PC Dipesh Mistry, attached to the South West Command Unit, was dismissed without notice at the conclusion of the hearing on Thursday, 30 May.

The panel found that PC Mistry had breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘discreditable conduct’.

Two further allegations relating to ‘honesty and integrity’ were not proven.

This relates to his arrest by police in Germany on 30 September 2017, following the allegation of assault at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany.

The panel – chaired by a legally qualified chair Akbar Khan – found gross misconduct was proven in relation to ‘discreditable conduct’.
