Police Scotland say a 60-year-old man has died following a one vehicle road traffic collision on the A862 at Inchberry near Lentran.
The incident happened around 1.30pm on Tuesday (April 2) and involved a silver Volkswagen Golf, which had been travelling west in the direction of Beauly.
The man was taken to Raigmore Hospital where he sadly later died.
Road Policing Sergeant Angus Murray said: “Our thoughts at this time are with the man’s family and friends.
“An investigation into the collision is underway and we have already spoken to a number of witnesses.
“In order to help establish the cause of the collision, I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen the vehicle on the day of the collision to come forward if you haven’t already done so.
“Likewise if any motorists believe they may have dashcam footage which could assist our enquiries, I would ask for them to come forward.
