Woman sexually assaulted on way home from carnival

Police are releasing an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a sexual assault.

On Sunday, 26 August 2018 at around 9pm, the victim, a 30-year-old woman, was making her way home having attended the Notting Hill Carnival.

She was travelling a Route 2 bus towards Vauxhall when a man got on.

They both left the bus and he then sexually assaulted her in a communal garden in the Pimlico area.

The victim pushed the man away, at which point he said “come with me”.

The victim then ran away and got on to another bus.

The suspect spoke with an Asian accent and appeared to be wearing a religious skull cap.

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 referencing CAD 3349/27 Aug 18.

Alternatively, tweet @MetCC or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
