Detectives are appealing for information following a series of sexual offences committed against four women on buses in north London.
The offences took place:
– At 13:30hrs on Tuesday, 11 September on a route 253 bus near Camden Road Station, NW1;
– At 19:43hrs on Wednesday, 21 November on a route 149 bus near St Leonard’s Hospital, N1;
– At 23:58hrs on Saturday, 23 November on a route 91 bus near Kings Cross Station, N1;
– At 19:46hrs on Tuesday, 13 November on a route 38 bus near Hackney Central Station, E8.
In the first three cases, the suspect has sexually assaulted the victims. The fourth offence was one of outraging public decency and was committed on 13 November.
The women are aged between 19 and 31yrs.
Detectives have released CCTV footage recovered from a bus showing images of a man and they are appealing to the public to help identify him.
The suspect is described as a black man, aged between 25 and 35yrs, around 6ft tall with short black hair.
Detective Constable Clare Beauchamp, from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “These incidents have left the victims feeling very frightened and violated. I am appealing to the public to help identify and locate this man as quickly as possible.
“Although none of the victims have suffered physical injury, the effects of becoming a victim of sexual assault can be lasting and traumatic.”
