Teenage boy rushed to hospital after being shot

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was shot in Lambeth.

Police were called at 10:13pm on Tuesday (22 January) to a reports of a shooting at Unity Close, SE19.

Officers attended and a 16-year-old boy was located close the scene suffering from gunshot injuries. 

Officers administered first aid prior to the arrival of London Ambulance Service.

The boy was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital, his condition  was described as critical.

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command.
