Police seek public’s help in rape investigation

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police investigating an allegation of rape have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Officers were called at approximately 11:05pm on Monday, 6 August 2018 to reports of a woman, aged in her 20s, having been raped by a man inside an address in Commercial Way, SE15.

The victim had been chatting to the suspect earlier that day at Burgess Park, SE15.

DC Nichola Buckley of the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command said: “I would like to speak to this male or anyone who recognises him and also anyone who was in Burgess Park that afternoon and could assist the investigation.”
