Man ran away following sexual assault

Detectives investigating an allegation of sexual assault have issued a picture of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Shortly after 9am on Monday, 26 November a 35-year-old woman was in Regent Street having just exited Oxford Circus underground station.

A man described as black, around 6ft tall, of medium build and wearing fluorescent workman’s trousers and a baseball cap, sexually assaulted the woman as he walked past her.

The woman challenged him and demanded to know why he had assaulted her, the man attempted to dismiss the incident before he ran off down John Princes Street.

Officers are releasing an image of the man, taken by the woman at the time of the incident, in a bid to trace him.
