Merseyside Police has issued a CCTV image of a man officers want to speak to following a serious assault at a Birkenhead bar in October.
At around 3.20am on Sunday 28 October, a call was received of an assault at Sherlock’s Wine Bar, in which a man in his 20s sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries, including a fractured skull, fractured eye sockets and a broken nose. He was treated at hospital however still requires ongoing treatment.
Enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances and detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Mike Dalton said: “This was a serious incident of violence which has led to the victim receiving appalling injuries we are particularly keen to speak to the male pictured, as we believe he could have vital information to assist our investigation.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who saw the assault, who recognises the male pictured or has heard anything since, so we can identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
“Merseyside Police will continue to work closely with licensed premises across Wirral and Merseyside to ensure that those who enjoy our town centres are able to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment.”
