Man dies in road collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Woolwich.

Officers were called at approximately 10:15pm on Tuesday, 11 December to reports of a pedestrian in collision with a car in Woolwich Road, near the junction of Warspite Road.

London Ambulance Service also attended and the pedestrian, a 52-year-old man, was taken to a south London hospital – he died there at 3:06am.

The car involved in the collision stopped at the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to the collision to contact officers at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.

There have been no arrests; enquiries continue.
