Merseyside Police are appealing to trace a woman who came to the aid of a young boy who was found injured in a Liverpool street.
The two year-old boy was found lying on a pavement outside a house on Fairburn Road, Tuebrook, at around 4.10pm on Saturday 17th November.
An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition with a head injury.
Officers are working to establish the circumstances of what happened. It is believed the boy may have fallen from an upstairs window.
They are particularly appealing for a woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, who came to the assistance of the boy.
Detective Inspector Jackie Fitzpatrick said: “At this stage we are trying to establish what has happened. I would appeal to this woman to come forward and speak to us as she may have information which could assist us.”
