An Met Police officer who was charged with one count of stalking has pleaded guilty.
Jose Lagares, 47, a serving detective constable based on the Central North Command Unit was charged on Saturday, 25 August with one count of stalking.
He pleaded guilty on Tuesday (25 September) at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.
He will be sentenced on Wednesday, 17 October at the same court.
The officer was off duty at the time of the alleged offence and remains on restricted duties.
Now that the criminal proceedings have concluded following the guilty plea, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards will carry out a misconduct review.
