Woman robbed in her own home

Detectives from Merseyside Police have issued images of a man they would like to speak to following reports of a robbery in the Wavertree area.

At around midday, on Saturday 19th May, a 24-year-old woman was robbed in her home by an unknown man who stole a quantity of cash. The victim was not injured but was left extremely shaken by the incident.

The man was described as black, in his mid-30s, 6ft tall, and of athletic build with short dark hair. He was wearing grey tracksuit pants and a matching T-shirt and white shoes.

Witness and CCTV enquiries have been ongoing into the incident and detectives have issued images of a man who they believe could have information which is vital to the investigation.

Detective Constable Tracy O’Hara said: “I would appeal to the man in these images, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us as he may be able to assist with these enquiries.

“This was a very shocking incident for the victim and is clearly completely unacceptable. I would urge the local community to come forward and help us to catch the person responsible.”
