Detectives investigating a serious assault in Liverpool city centre in March have issued CCTV images of a man who may be able to help with enquiries.
Emergency services were called to Back Bold Street at about 4.55am on 18 March to a report a 27-year-old man had sustained internal injuries during an assault carried out by a group of men, following an altercation at Loco Bar in Bold Street. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
It was reported the group assaulted the victim by punching and kicking him, and striking him with belts.
A full investigation was launched and CCTV opportunities have been explored and witnesses spoken to.
Detective Constable Julie Bolton said: “This was a particularly nasty assault which has left the victim requiring ongoing treatment in hospital some six weeks later.
“We are very keen to bring those responsible to justice. If you recognise the man in the images we would urge you to contact police as he may be able to assist with enquiries.”
