Teenager stabbed

West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed when disorder broke out among a group of around 20 young people in Coventry. 

Officers were called to Moat House Leisure Centre in Winston Avenue to reports that two young men and a girl were being attacked at around 8pm last night (Monday 9 October).

One boy aged 17 was stabbed in the leg, while the other two were punched and kicked.

Paramedics and police arrived, and the group dispersed.

No arrests have been made. The boy who was stabbed was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Extra officers are being deployed in the area to reassure residents. Any witnesses are asked to contact West Midlands Police on 101 quoting log number 2473 of 09/10/17
