Two women critically injured in city centre road crash

Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision in Liverpool city centre on Monday night (16 January).

At around 9.45pm, reports were received of a collision between a BMW motorcycle and a pedestrian on Catharine Street, towards Upper Parliament Street. Emergency services attended and two women were taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The road was reopened at around 5.30am.
